The entrance to Tokagjelet power station is modest and blends beautifully into the landscape. Behind the gates, the power station is being inspected and upgraded in preparation for the spring flood.

There is plenty of activity at Tokagjelet power station, even though the power station is closed for the winter. A cold January and February cause the water to freeze, bringing power production to a halt. This time is used to carry out inspections and improvements at the power station.

A new and improved turbine regulator is being installed, and the bypass valve has been reinforced to facilitate maintenance.

The tunnel between the power station and the water intake has also been drained and inspected, something that is done at regular intervals. Everything looks fine, so in a short while we will be ready to start up and ready for meltwater when spring arrives at Kvamsskogen.

When the river freezes, it is time to inspect tunnels and turbines.
Underground, the equipment is inspected, while above ground, at the intake, winter idyll prevails.
