Construction of Føsseberge power plant is well underway
The power plant is located in Vang municipality, Innlandet county, and will utilise the flow of the Storåni river downstream from Lake Vangsmjøsa.
The head is 23 metres, from elevation 452 to elevation 429. Expected production is between 16 and 17 GWh.
A construction site has been established at the intake, where work is underway to prepare for the construction of the dam and intake, along with the associated waterways. A 750-metre tunnel will be blasted from the intake to just before the power station area. The first blasting at the tunnel portal downstream has already been carried out. There is currently a larger construction site at the power station, where excavation for the power station is underway. In addition, preparations are being made to expand the agricultural area, which will be developed using tunnel spoil for farming operations near the power station. The power station itself will be well screened in the landscape.
The project is currently on schedule and progressing well. Work at the site will continue as long as conditions are safe with regard to ice and frost. Completion is expected in spring 2028.
