Public Consultation and Information Meeting - Garbergelva Hydropower Plant

Clemens Kraft AS has submitted a notification, dated 11 November 2025, to the Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate (NVE) regarding the planned development of the Garbergelva hydropower plant in Selbu Municipality. 

NVE has now circulated the notification, together with the proposed impact assessment programme, for public consultation, with a consultation deadline of 13 March 2026. 
The notification is being processed in accordance with the regulations concerning impact assessments under the Planning and Building Act, and is available on NVE's website. 

It is possible to submit comments and input on the notification directly to NVE by the consultation deadline. NVE will use the input when assessing which topics, if any, should be investigated further in the impact assessment. 
We encourage everyone who has views on land use and the necessary investigations to provide input. Once the impact assessment programme has been established by NVE, we will carry out the necessary surveys and further detail the plans in line with the results of these investigations.
