Nordbøåna power plant is located in Nissedal municipality in Vestfold and Telemark. The run-of-river power plant utilizes a head of 203 meters, and with an installed Pelton turbine, the power plant has an annual production of 3.9 GWh. The power plant has been in operation since 2012.
The Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate (NVE) has stipulated a minimum water flow during the summer and winter to preserve the environment and landscape.
